Very funny movie. An ex con and a female cop fall in love with each other. They move and live in a trailer. They want to start a family but was told she could not carry.
Then, one day, the richest man in Raising, Arizona, owner of a Walmart-like business announced that he and his wife had 8 boys. They realized that they would find the one that was right for them-Nathan Jr. (that and a Dr.Spock child book).
And, before you know, troubles abound when the friends of the husband-who just escaped from jail themselves-realized that they kidnapped the baby and before you know it, everyone wants to get the baby including the renegade the father hires!
Great movie. Hope that sums it up for you.

Hmmmmm. Yes I have seen Raising Arizona. "ARIZONIA"? "EVERY SEEN"?
Here's a plan: If you're supposed to do a 4-5 sentence summary of this movie, then why don't you get up off your lazy butt and watch it!!!!! Not only lazy, but illiterate!

Childless white-trash couple Hy and Ed (Nicholas Cage & Holly Hunter) decide to start a family by stealing one of a local furniture-store owner's newborn quintuplets. They are no better prepared for parenthood than for life itself, especially Hy, who in a hilarious scene robs a convenience store for "these Huggies, and whatever cash you may have in the drawer". When the child is kidnapped by escaped convicts (friends of Hy's) and then falls into the clutches of an evil biker, they must rise to the occasion & get the child back, ultimately returning the child to his rightful parents.

Extremely good movie in the genre of "Fargo" Oddball couple kidnaps a baby and raises them in a trailer in the desert of Arizona and of course she is a cop and he is a bum, but they do their best to avoid the law and the true parents. Nicholas Cage's first real good role that made him star quality.
An aside to Pasta who questioned the use of spellcheck. All the words are correctly spelled you moron she just used the wrong one.

Convict (Nicholas Cage) and his correctional guard girlfriend kidnap a baby boy (one of a triplet) from a wealth man, who doessn't really seem to care much anyway, to raise for themselves. Chaos and madness ensues as they rob and steal to provide for the infant.
They are eventually found out, blah blah blah.
Not a movie I would recommend you see, lol.

Loser couple wants baby. Losers see rich couple has lots of babies. Losers kidnap one of rich couple's babies. Losers get chased by other losers who want baby for ransom money.
or something like that. It's an older movie, my mind is gone from the tequila in the 90's.
try www.imdb.com it'll give ya a better summary.

If not Arizona, then a land not too far away . . . where all parents are strong and wise and capable, and all children are happy and beloved. I don't know. Maybe it was Utah

seen it, was recommended by co-worker. had great expectations & it turned out to be really slow & boring...about a criminal type couple who want a baby, steal one & then run into high jinx...
