On a V8 305 the spark plugs are very low to the ground. Would it be easier to put the car on ramps and change them from underneath, or will i just have to use a swivel tool?

Ah, one of my favorite cars. I've always been able to get at all the plugs from the top, but that was with a long extension and a couple of swivels for the two back plugs. They're the hardest to get at.

For some of the plugs, you can fit a long extension between the innter fender and frame if you take off the front tires. You should be able to get at the rest from the top.
