i live in nyc, no i didn't feel scared the day after 9.11.

i was in central park, miles away from ground zero. it was a sunny day, and people were trying to enjoy the day, picining in the grass, kids running around having fun. the ducks and two swans residing in the Lake only wanted to be fed. in the air hung the faint smell of smoke from a faraway building fire. people knew it wasn't gonna be easy dealing with what happened the day before, but they put on a brave face and dealt with it. new yorkers are new yorkers.

I was scared. There was a deadly silence, with no planes in the sky. Everyone seemed a bit nicer for a short period of time. God bless everyone who died, and the people who lost their loved ones.
