The Idea that using a nuclear weapon on another country is an option, repulses me. Our goal as a world power should not be the elimination of another country or its people but rather the acceptance of all peoples into a united world. The Islamic Jihadist movement believes that conversion or death is the only option and if they had a "Bomb" they would be more than willing to use it on us. But by using a Bomb on another country we lower ourselves to the level of the terrorist that we "hate" so badly. So who would I nuke if given the opportunity? Not a DAMN person or country.

I probably would have agreed to drop the bomb on Japan in 1945. But once you see what it does -- how can you possibly do it again?

I understood Truman's decision to bomb Hiroshima. I never understood how he could have allowed it to be done a second time. It turns out that he was abord a ship returning from Yalta when it happened -- so he didn't knw the devistation it caused.

He didn't know better. But you should.

None, no one deserves to have a nuclear bomb dropped on them. What goes around comes around.
