Although my mother died over a quarter century ago, I admired her for the following:

Her Strength -- she, when it was not acceptable for Females to get an education -- stuck it out, went on her own, and YES, she EARNED her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degrees! (she was a Teacher and Speech Therapist).

Her mind -- Sharp as always -- right up until her death. This was one compact little old lady that NO ONE wanted to mess with or get in an argument with!

Her personality -- She always was one to make people feel good -- and during the Senior Citizens events that my parents attended together -- my father would always drop my mother off at the door. He would then RUSH to find a parking space (and this is kinda tricky -- he was a paraplegic out of WWII), and upon entering the building, he would find my mother surrounded and holding the attention of every eligible male in the building -- even the younger ones -- she was that smart and that personable!

She is a very confident smart good woman. I got lucky to see that my mom is very confident handles money well. I know if my dad were not to be there she could handle everything. My dad and her love each other today. I'm kind of sad cause she is going through surgery right now but she did fine and my dad was right by her side. My mother is well respectable women and I hope my kids see me like I see her in my eyes.

If I could only pick three things that I loved about my mother it would have to be ..... the way she cooked for siblings and I every day, her sense of humor, and her beautiful spirit. God bless mothers.
