So tommorow my friend and i have an exam in one of our classes. I've been studying for it for about 1 week ever since our professor mentioned it in class. And today my friend said she never heard about it and now she wants to use my notecards and study materials for the test. She does this allllllllllll the time!!!!! And now im so sick of it, how can i nicely get her to actually use her own stuff and study for herself????

hmm, this is a hard question. i say that because it wanders into the realm of being used. if she does this all the time and you let her she will continue to do so. if she is your true friend then do not let her use your notes, she will get over the initial anger and still be your friend. if not then you know where you really stand with her.

First off when the class is told a test is coming up, ask her if she heard and took note of it. (politely).Next day or so ask if she's started her study notes yet and if she hasn't tell her calmly that maybe she should get started because you have decided not to give your notes to anyone anymore.I agree with you.If you spent all that time preparing why should you give your hard, time consuming,notes away.She may get angry for awhile but if you don't stop it she continue expecting you to do the work while she has a good time elsewhere.

if you just remind her when something like this test is coming up often tell her that there is a test coming up and maybe you could offer to study with her that way she has no excuses to use your notes. if she refuses then tell her when she asks to use your notes no i gave you every opputunity to study and you wouldnt and im not doing all the work and you reap all the benefits of all my hard work. it will probably make her mad, but shell get over it , and anyway you are not doing her any favors. she is never gonna no any thing if you keep doing every thing for her.

Well if you've nicely tried to do it before and it didn't work, the fact is you can't do it nicely. You can either deal with it as just being one of the downsides of having her as a friend or you can be mean to her and tell her to piss off next time she does this. Hopefully you can just remind her of these things more often so she can take care of herself. If that doesn't work, then.. do what you wanna' do.

if you've been studying for a week, the day of the test, get to school early, make it look like your studying, then when she asks to use your note cards, tell her your using them. Simple solution!!!
