To whoever that said Nesta and Cannavaro, they are not defensive midfielders!! They're defenders.
The best is Gattuso. And I'm not just saying that because I'm an AC Milan fan.

Makelele would fit into this category. The way he breaks up opponents play in a simple yet effective manner makes one the best in this game. But recent times has thrown up several contenders in Essien, Hargreaves, Gattuso, Cambiasso and Emerson. They are the ones who will want to be the best in the game and prove their worth.
