As a franchise? Trek takes it!
You've got The Original Series, and if it had ended there, or with Star Trek:The Motion Picture, Star Wars would have had it.
But you've got Wrath of Khan, The Voyage Home, and then Next Generation. And the Original series movies, too. Then there's Deep Space Nine, which had moderate success, but Voyager??? C'mon!
Add to that the Next Generation movies and Enterprise, and Star Wars is trumped out.
The Phantom Menace really hurt.
As much as I adore Star Wars, the more successful is Star Trek.

Starwars hands down!!!! Sorry trekky fans but Capt. James T. Kirk couldnt last 5 minutes in the same Galaxy as the Jedi and Seth!!!

star Trek because they were the ones who were there b4 star wars so that means they have advanced their weapons they know all the tricks in the Galaxy they know all the short cut where to hide in the Galaxy so u see they have bodily gone where no man has gone b4 and they are the ones who discovered knew worlds and new civilisations........

really dont care but wouldn't it be cool for the borg to capture a Sith Lord (shared knowledge, hive mentality an all that) or for the Ferengi and the ewoks to have a fight!
