I guess that the TV does have a screen, but on the computer, the screen's more open with things like rude e-mails and that kind of stuff.
I'm actually a teenager myself! I get yelled at and stuff alllllll the time, so i'm quite used to it now. "Go do your homework!" or "What are you doing awake at this time of night!!!".
They also said stuff like i'm turning into a vegetable or I'm too much of a couch potato. But I do have to admit, I was plenty pounds more last year than this year. I'm a 5' 3" and i used to weigh around 110 pounds (whoa). Now , i weigh like, 96 pounds. I can't any of my old clothes anymore!!!
You know...
TV's not all that bad! You could watch cartoons and other junky stuff like Discovery channel. When I watch those shows, I usually just tease all the very cheesy people. It's lots of fun, too!

Hopefully, some of these guys are right and you will get bored with it soon. I am also on Level 6 and was really into it, but my interest is waning. I suspect once the television season starts, I will be there myself instead of watching the same "Sponge Bob" over and over with my son. It IS important, though, that you not let your computer use interfere with sleep or school or any important responsibilities. Also, you really do need excercise. Trust me, being fat is no fun for many reasons! So, doing something active is a good thing. Perhaps if you are able to show them that you are getting excercise and it isn't getting in the way of your life, maybe they won't be so upset.

computer use is an addiction. ask anyone that loves chat rooms.
don't spend so much time in here. do other things like take walks or ride a bike stationary or other wise.
your parents have a good point.....you do need to make your body move around. so watch TV sometimes or read a book.

Well, you should get some exercise you know, your parents are right, but it doesn't exactly sound like they want you to watch TV. I think they just want you to get some good exercise.
At least do a bit of a compromise, sit up straight when your on the computer, and get a bit of exercise each day to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Balance is important in life. Finding balance is something most never do, but it is a goal worth striving for. Give it a shot. Try a little variety and see what happens. At least you'd get some more experience to answer questions from. Quality over quantity!

Good question. I have the same problem but my parents say that i read too much. Just tell them that there is no point in watching TV when you can read about it online

NO NO NO
NOT TV
Why do your parents hate you so???
Using the computer is good for your brain!
The cr*p on TV only kills brain cells! Do they want you to become a brain-washed consumer zombie?
Put the TV out with the trash....

Just stand up and walk away. Once you continue to do that so many times, you will not want to be on the computer as much.

You will be bored soon enough. Exercising is a good idea. You will save the tax payers money down the road when you are healthier.
