The answer to the second question is to change the formatting of the cell to 'number' and to put an equal sign in front of it so it will know that it is supposed to divide "=1/60".

The answer to your first question is to put the data in a table of x and y values. Then, drag across the table and highlight it. Then, click on the Graph Wizard button and follow the directions. Be sure to select "Line Graph"

To plot:

1. Arrange your data so that the x-values are in the first row or column of your worksheet, and the y-values are located in adjacent rows or columns.
2. Select the range of x- and y-values that you want to plot in the chart.
3. Click Chart on the Insert menu to start the Chart Wizard.
4. In the Chart type box, select XY (Scatter) or Line.
5. Under Chart sub-type, click the chart sub-type you want to use. For a quick preview of the chart you are creating, click Press and Hold to View Sample.
6. Click Next, and continue with steps 2 through 4 of the Chart Wizard.

For the other problem, you need to put an equal sign before entering the expression 1/60.

I hope this helps.

first make a column for x and one for y. Insert the values of x and y for at least three points. Go to the 'chart' menu and select linear. You can insert a trendline if you want to after the graph is created.

To make a table, fill in the fields on the grid that you want in your table. Select all of the fields that you used. You can either 'autoformat' from pre-made table styles, or you can go to 'format cells' and adjust them yourself. Since you sound like a beginner I would suggest starting with the autoformat feature.
