Get your tattoos for yourself, not for other people, what do you care what they think? If they judge you for it, then thats not someone you want to know. I have one on my thigh, and I don't think it sends out any message. As for your abdomen, unless you have a 'slippery when wet' or 'insert here (with arrow)', then I would worry about it being trampy. Just consider if you are going to have kids or anything, is it in a spot where its likely to stretch. Good Luck!

I think the only message would be that in 35 - 40 years you will have wrinkled tattoos and nobody will know what they were to begin with.

Well it might to the tatoo artist, but not to the people around the person, unless that person brags about having a tatoo in bad places. But no I don't see it as a bad thing or sending a bad messege.

It depends on what the tattoo is. If it's appropriate, then no..it doesn't send the wrong message. If it is what you want then no one can tell you otherwise.

No. Do what you want. Unless you are a stripper only those who are close to you husband/boyfriend will see it. If he cant handle it then leave him. If he cant see past ink then he's worthless

that depends on if you are flashing your gut and boobs around. i have a navel piercing and a tatt on my hip, but no one ever sees them. they are just there because i personally like them.
