If you don't want to shop on-line then you are limited to local flea markets, garage sales or maybe put a wanted ad in a local paper.

you do not give enough info to offer a good answer.. what kind of pipe are you trying to clean??
acetone works well with most kinds of pipe..
unless youre cleaning your bong, then you want to use some "grunge off", and hot water..

I am assuming your using a slang tern for any brush with bristles... which you can find in any hardware store.. many types
