Love should be equal, and thats when it works. If you are with someone that you know cares about you more, it is unfair to you and to the person as you both deserve someone who will respect and love you equally

Well I'll have to disagree with this. Afterall, where do u draw the
line on equality of love? Who's to say that he doesn't love u anymore or u any less if u both express your love for each other in 2 different ways? I believe it's better to be in a relationship where two people love and respect each other.

I just got out of a relationship with someone who loved me more than I loved them. It was terrible and I felt awful for causing them so much pain, even though I tried not to and did my best to appreciate their good qualities. Someone always seems to want the relationship more, but trying to 'set it up' a particular way sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Please don't do it on purpose, they would deserve better treatment, and not fully loving someone can seem as cruel to them as abuse.

Yeah, I did it, and it's a bad idea. Bad bad idea. If you feel like they love you more, then think of where that leaves you in the relationship. Feeling like you're missing something? Yup.
And it can't be vice-versa either.
Both of you should be head over heels AND aware of how hard you have to work to stay in a happy healthy marriage.

Most definately find someone that loves you more than you him/her..
THey say love should be equal, but it never it. In a relationship, any relationship..whether intimate or not..its never equal. In any relationship someone is always ready to give more than the other. I guess thats life..

How in the world can you ever tell how much someone loves you? I can barely tell how much I love someone.

In every relationship there is one who loves the other more. The giver and the taker. Yin and Yang it balances things.

Hmm.. My take on this is to be with someone that 'thinks' they love you more than you love them. Just as you would 'think' you love them more than they do you. -shrugs-
