Patriotism is love for one's country. According to the American-Heritage Dictionary the definition of patriotism is love of and devotion to one's country.

1 look patriot up in the dictionary
2 look up traitor and get an understanding of the difference between the two words
3 Understand and apply the meaning of the suffix -ism
4 Then ask yourself, "What does this mean to me?" "Am I a patriot or a traitor?"
5 Try and identify with someone in history who you think is a patriot and why.
