Make a list of up to three numbers at a time. If you have a couple of friends/family who want their no. included, this is an easy and effective way to get rid of those calls. And it is totally free!

ask the solicitor his name, company name and find out the exact name of the president of the company and call him at 12 midnight in his home and ask him to remove your name from his mailing list -- or else you will call every hour from now on to remind him. that will do, I am told.

if u r in USA, get yourself registered under DO NOT CALL list.
if u r in UK, then get yourself registered under TELEPHONE PREFERENCES SERVICE.
and still if u get unsolicited calls, do not shout at the callers.. just ask them politely to take your name off their list.
I have done telemarketing in the past, so i have told you from callers point of view. Shouting doesnt work. Politeness works.
