water is always sucked in the bottom hose,if it was sucked in the top as soon as the level dropped slightly there wouldnt be anything sucked into the engine

Warm water rises. The water pump pushes the water into the bottom of the engine and it comes out to the radiator on the top.

Yes ! I haven't seen a domestic car yet that the waterflow on the radiator isn't; top = in , bottom = out!
