Damn old sour bitty, I hate some mother-in-laws to be. Get the hint? If she loves u she'll marry u and get away from the old bitty. But if she's a mama's girl lose her as fast as u can and do better for ur self. Parents mean well sometimes but some r too over controlling and don't know when to let go. It seems u r stuck with the latter, prove her wrong and go for urs. Make that old bitty eat her words.

yes, If the relationship with your fiance and her mother is stronger then her relationship with you.You are asking your fiance to love you with her heart, her mother is saying do not let the heart rule the head. You are asking her to give up the only family she has known, that's asking a lot. Would you do this if your family or mother thought she was the wrong person for you.

Mom is probably right. She is looking out for her daughter's future. The key is "NO Education". I sure would not want my daughte with you. What do you call a good paying job? How long will it last? give yourself security, not for your girl friend but for yourself. "GET AN EDUCATION" She may think she love you now. But darling when things get hard she will become a Jekyll and Hyde, folks want to live decent. and little are no money means everybody is unhappy.her mom can't wreck your relationship if she loves you. but she sure would be smart to listen to her mom.

Her mother can ruin it, if she continues to interfere, but probably because YOU will get sick of it. You'll get tired of having to defend yourself and having to prove yourself and sometimes, no matter how much you love someone, outside pressures can destroy a relationship.
The only way to keep her mom from making a mess of the whole thing is to get away from her mom, and tell her to stop telling her mother about your problems, that's not helping either.
The relationship is between the two of you, not the three of you, she needs to talk to you about issues in your relationship, not her friends, not her sister, not her mother, just YOU, the only one who can make a difference anyway.

A mother always has a lot of influence in their kids. So always let your fiance know that you love her. Love can overcome anything.

Depends on how well she was conditioned by her mom. My first marriage went on the fritz because my wife loved her mother too much and let her get away with murder. So I told the daughter to be happy with her mother. She wasn't, but that wasn't my business anymore.
When one gets married, ones partner has to be first, otherwise it won't work!

It will really depend on what sort of character your girlfriend has. Is she easily swayed by people, especially a mother?

My parents don't like my man but I don't care. I've been with him almost 9 years and that's not going to change.

Yes, if you are not united. If she tries to undermine your love, she is a huge hazard. You and your fiance have a serious amount of talking to do so she doesn't ruin your lives.

My fiance's mom is so fake. She pretends to like me but I can tell she is a liar. This is what we did. We moved away.

You bet she can. Moms have a lot of influence on their kids and she can make your life miserable.
