yes because 9/11 means september 11th, and 9-1-1 and 9/11 look very similar.....wow how did I come up with that??

Of course NOT. Those are just coincidences. i remember that at the time, there was an email going around telling people to open their Microsoft Word and typing "NY" (for New York, duh) and then highlighting it and choose font size 72. Then, they would have to chose font type "Wingdings" and there was supposed to be a secret meaning. Yeah! Like Bill Gates and Microsoft were secretly involved with Al Qaida... These are just spooky coincidences.
By the way, if you do the same with RJ (for Rio de Janeiro) there is another surprise "message".

You know, EVERYONE I know thinks that that was done on purpose, but I never thought so. An intricate plan such as this one could not get up in such trivial details as that. Besides, I remember reading somewhere that al Quaida did try to execute their plan on a specific date for maximum poetic impact, but it didn't work out. I think they picked September 11 simply because that was how the chips fell, nothing more.

No, and can I just say that for some reason, it's a pet peeve with me when people call that day "Nine-one-one" instead of "nine-eleven." There's no such thing as September one-oneth. It's September eleventh. Sorry...I get riled up over silly grammatical stuff. :)

No, I don't think it does. Americans are in the minority in that we usually write our numeric dates MONTH, DAY, YEAR. Most of the world writes them in what we call "military format" DAY MONTH YEAR. The incriments go from small to large.
So while Americans write that date 9/11/2001, most of the would write that date 11/09/2001.
