i need ipod help?

Ok so i get on itunes on my comp and i plug in my ipod..It then does a thing w/ a flash light and a thing pops up asking me what to do...itunes is not on there...i x out of that and itunes says all the users have 2 b logged off...so i log off everyone but me and i try again ...it again does the flashlight thing and asks me what to do and itunes is again not on there! HELP!

When you are in iTunes, does the iPod show up on the left hand side? If it does, just ignore the flashlight and cancel it out, and then go about your way.
