Sadly, yes. Is it over? No. According to Brad Wright, the show's producer, SG-1's story will be continued, but the format that takes is still up in the air. At the Stargate convention Chicago Aug. 26th '06, Jason Momoa guessed it'd take about 3 made-for-TV-movies to finish out the Ori storyline, and Michael Shanks confirmed that neither a miniseries nor a theatrical release had yet been ruled out.
Given that MGM has been wanting to put Stargate back on the big screen for the last five years, I'm hoping it's a theatrical release: one, that will give us fans a great opportunity to show the studio how much we love it (box office numbers will speak for themselves); two, this would cut the back-stabbing, money-grubbing, inconsiderate dirtbags at the SciFi channel out of the box office proceeds.
Martin Gero, one of the writers for SG-1 and Atlantis, is confident there will be new SG-1 material after season 10 wraps up next June. (Ah, yes, the wonderful geniuses at the SciFi channel have pushed the second half of season 10 back to March, instead of the usual January.)

That's really sad to hear if it is true! I love both of the shows (SG-1 and Atlantis) and the news that Atlantis will continue is somewhat of a consolation but still...it's sad if they really cancel it.
