Lowell is a medium sized city. The population is 105167, and is quite diverse. There is a large Cambodian population and a pretty significant latino population as well, and while there are some gang problems, the city has cleaned itself up quite well over the years. There have been many projects underway for urban renewal, and with the annual folk festival held in downtown, it has really attracted a good amount of tourism. It is not a particularly dangerous city as long as you keep a vigilant eye. You should be just find going to your concert. I lived there for 6 years and was never assaulted or had any problems. It is actually quite common for concerts in that city, and it wouldn't be so if it was that dangerous.

Medium sized. About a 100,000 people. It's not bad. Lowell is an old mill town that has been fixed up pretty nice. I used to go to concerts there and never had any problems.
