Cal Baptist is expensive as well and extremely strict. Chapman isn't affiliated with any religious institution, it's just a private university (and a great one at that).

Any private university is going to be expensive, but in some cases, less demanding for SAT/ACT scores. Public universities (particularly Cal States) are less demanding, but sometimes less "prestigious" depending on how you view it. UC schools are prestigious research institutions and not that expensive (especially if you commute).

Some universities in Orange County: Chapman, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Long Beach, Concordia

It sounds like you are looking into a Christian college, have you looked into Vanguard University? It's in Costa Mesa and is an EXCELLENT 4-yr Christian university. Much cheaper than Biola, however still more expensive than secular colleges. Classes are small and the professors are excellent. I've also heard good things about Cal-Baptist, but I honestly don't know very much about it.

most colleges have financial aid programs that will help you out a lot with tuition. don't let the expense keep you from applying. if they really want you, they'll give you plenty of money and it could end up being cheaper than a public school.

I want to attend a woman's college. It's cool you want to go to Chapman. I'm originally from CA!

You could go to a Community Collage for two years then go to the more expensive one. Apply for Scholarships. Go see your school Counselor, they are paid to help you with these things!
