it appears that you and your wife have been growing apart for a long time. Did your wife's announcement about moving out come as a surprise to you? When most relationships end there is usually one person who makes the announcement and the other person who feels caught off guard by it. The second person often says things like "I knew that she was unhappy but I never thought she'd move out." You see, by that time, the first person feels like she's has tried everything and she has nothing left to give.
Put your mutual expectations on the table in order to understand each other better.

Maybe you need a time-out together: go out and have fun, just the two of you, without the children.

Perhaps you need to learn how to be lovers. You certainly didn't have the time or room for that with all the children around.

If she is not serious about you, then step back with dignity and let her go. You can't make someone love you.

Well you can go with the normal things but if you really wanting to "patch" things up between you I suggest that what ever you do it's from the heart. If you can maybe do something for her that will show her that you are sorry and that you love her. Just don't take her out to dinner and movie. Do something special for her. Something to show her you put time and thought into it.

It may sound corny - but flowers (red roses prefered), a box of her favorite candy, in a top end resturant - dancing afterward and a nice moonlit walk on the beach. If your at all creative - write her a little poem and tuck it into her flowers or candy. Sing to her when your on the dance floor too - Try the song - "I said I loved you, but I lied" very romantic song - read all the words to it.
She should melt into your arms - I know I would
lol

come to her door with flowers. give her candy. take her out for a nice dinner, not like fast food but a nice restaurant. buy a bottle of wine. open all doors for her. give her lots of compliments (you look great, you are beautiful, you are hot tonight, etc.) clean your car before you pick her up and tell her you did it for her. you dress nicely for her too. give her a special gift at the end of the night, like a piece of jewelry (does not have to be expensive), or a special card, or perfume. be extra sensitive. it works on me every time.

Take off for the weekend to a motel room and have a beautiful candle light dinner. Tell her how much she means to you. Don't let anyone know where your at so they can't ruin the moments. I always hated it when my husbands buddies called us at the motel room or wanted to come by. That was our time, you know?Do something she has tried to get you to do before but you wouldn't.

Just try to do all the things that you know she likes. Take her to the place she like the most and things like that.

Choose something meaningful. A spot where you had a particularly memorable date...her favorite restaurant...give her a bouquet of flowers...things like that. She'll be touched that you remember these little details.
