and thanks, i KNOW they are going to be sore. i have my navel pierced, which is the longest healing piercing you can get. im not a weiner, i've endured 38 hours of childbirth, and a year of nursing, so a piercing is nothing. just kinda wondering how the pain compares to OTHER piercings, you know, worse, or not as bad

I got mine done to try and correct inverted nipples. I also had found that since having my twins, I had lost most sensation (sexual or painful) in both nips. Once I got them pierced, alot (not all) of the sensation came back. I absolutely adore them. My husband finds it very sexy.

The actual piercing only hurt for a second... and it felt like my nips were on fire for about an hour after that. For the next week, they were tender, but not painful. I have barbells (mostly because it's more effective on the inverted nipples)... but now that they are close to being healed, I think I'll switch to rings.

I find it very exciting to know that I have them there under my clothes... and NOBODY KNOWS, or even suspects.

I say go for it.

I never had mine done, all I ever did was my navel, so I know what you mean about pain. I'm also a mom of two, so labor was definitely the worse of the two.

A friend of mine had hers done. She couldn't wear a bra while healing, 3 months (I have no clue if this is normal or not). She also said that it irritated her nipples to wear one even after the healing time was up. It was either go bra-less or take out the hoop, she opted to take out the hoop in the end.

For breastfeeding, it won't affect your ability to nurse as long as the hole(s) are well healed before you get pregnant. It's recommended that you only pierce the nipple itself, not the aureole (skin behind the nipple) The milk may come out of the hole, and can also get infected.

I say that it's your body, do whatever you want with it. If this is something you want, and your husband doesn't have any reasonable objections, then go for it.

I got my nipples pierce two years ago. I really like it...It hurt just for one second while they are piercing the nipple. After that, nothing at all. It feels good to pull them once in a while.. My only mistake was to get the bar with 2 ball bearings..They are easily removed and lost both of them during normal wear. Get them, but get the rings not the bars for now, until a it heals

Well, let me tell ya,it hurts like HELL, it took me about 3 weeks to completely heal, i had no infection, but it did stay red & swollen for a while, i got the rings, they told me the bigger you are, the rings would be better, and not get as irratated, i don't know about the breast feeding, don't have kid's! So, Good Luck!!!! :) P.S., don't let the hubby touch them for about a week, then, after the pain wears off, have some fun!!!!! :)

My neighbor tried it and her boob swelled to twice the size as the other. Got an infection in her lymph nodes or something. Reinfected a few weeks later. She regretted it immensely.

no you should not pierce those parts of your body because if you want to have a baby it can affect the way you give it milk. trust me it is painfull and you may get an infecction (my friend did) but at the end it your desision
