Ok, 9/11 was a terroristic attack, and Katrina was a natural disaster.

As far as $ goes. Bush who is an @$$hole should have extended more help to the Gulf states. He dragged his feet and left these poor people to get raped or die. It was a travesty. For the most part, the people who did not leave New Orleans or Mississippi could not leave. They had no means to do so. many were from low income families and did not own vehicles of their own. So, now what? You stay in your home and hope to ride out the storm safely and then the Police/FEMA/Red Cross whomever will provide the necessary ammenitities for survival.

Unfortunately, that did not occur. People were in hell. Supplies were non-exsistant, and the already notorious NO Police dept was having trouble keeping order.

Like I did 5 years ago today, I wept for the people of Katrina. I keep them in my thoughts and hope they can re-build their lives bigger and better than pre-Katrina.

9/11 was a terrorist attack that was very sudden. The survivers of Katrina need to pick them selves up and not wait for government assistance. They need to start rebuilding. No one can help you if you don't help yourself. The government doesn't have the money to be spending. The government gave 9/11 victims money because they feel bad that their family members died.

Katrina victims should have left when they were told to. They knew the hurricane was coming, yet they still stayed because "It won't be that bad." Now, a year later, we still have people scamming the gov't, stealing and killing for no apparent reason, and just being lazy. 9/11 victims COULDN'T do anything. These two tragedies CANNOT be compared.

I am very sorry for the familys that lost everything they have. i dont want to offend anyone, but why would you live in a place where it is likely to have hurricanes and is in risk of loosing everything? you can give me a bad rating, i dont care. i know lots of people (friends) that lost everyting but themselves. i feel bad for them, and yes i have donated money to funds over there. i just dont understand why u would live in such a place.

Because Katrina was a natural disaster, 9-11 was a TERRORIST attack.
