In English, we weigh the grades in Grade Quick with Major as 60 percent, Minor as 30 percent, and Summer Reading as 10 percent. I was always told that, due to the weighting, all assessments under each catergory are weighed the same no matter the amount of points. For instance, if I have a quiz worth 10 points, I was told that it is the same as a quiz worth 100 points. I was wondering if this is true because I would like to make all of my assessments out of 100 no matter how many questions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I was told that you cannot actually do that on gradequick. I was told by our curriculum advisor that if you want the tests to be 60 percent of the grade and you have 6 tests that you must put in 10% for each test. So if you have fewer tests than that you have to change the weight each time.
It did not really make sense to me. It seems that you should be able to put 60% for all things under the category "Major" but apparently this is a flaw with gradequick.
We use the version #10.
For what you want to do I think that you would have to enter the percentage and not the points in order for it to work.

There are some counsel on a thank you to attitude this occasion: (a million) look on the assignments which you should make up in case you won't be in a position to do all of them. %. those nicely quite worth the better kind of things in the direction of your grade. (2) Ask for extra credit to deliver them up, and as you are attempting this preserve the smaller lacking assignments. So then you will get greater credit and get the smaller factors for the smaller assignments. (3) look at your schedule and cut back various the failings which may be bumped off like, activities or social activity's on the weekend that provides you with greater time to make up the assignments. believe me in this one i've got had a 4.0 for 3 years right this moment or maybe I unquestionably have had to apply those counsel.

Just enter your grades as as percents instead of points. This way everything will always be out of 100.

It's what I've done for years with my own grade book.

Hope this helps.

The version of GradeQuick at my school allows you to weigh the class according to the type of assignment. Therefore, I'd select it from "Tests" in the menu, and I'd set up the following example:

Tests- .6
Homework- .2
Quizzes-.2
