Do you have to pay for AIM Mobile? I know some people with other plans who don't. My plan is : Everythings free between Verizon customers.......limited minutes and txts between other plans, and only free calls out of verizon on weekends. Do I pay for AIM Mobile?

It depends on the phone / plan you have. It sounds like you might have the America's choice II plan which comes with no roaming, free national long distance and free INcalling (verizon to verizon - voice and text) and free night and weekend minutes (not just verizon to verizon but anyone - during the hours of 9:01pm and 6:59 a.m. Monday thru Friday, and all day Sat/Sun)..

As far as AIM is concerned, depending on the phone you have, you might be able to sign up for VCAST (which allows unlimited use of the internet with no minute usage) or Mobile web. The best way to find out what you have and what you need in order to have the features you want is to call customer service.

There's no additional charge for using AIM Mobile. AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, and MSN Messenger all utilize text messages to access the service. So be prepared to text either at 10c/msg sending or receiving, or upgrade to one of those packages w/ 500 msgs included.
