That depends on your view of reality. If you have an objective view, that reality exists “out there”, independent of us, then the tree does make a sound. Independent of us the tree has a certain mass and falls at a certain rate which creates a certain force. Independent of us the tree hitting the surrounding foliage and eventually the ground with this force is converted to energy, some of which is sonic, some of which lies within the human audible range. If you have a subjective view of reality, that reality exists only by virtue of our perception of it, indeed, our perception is all there is of reality, then by virtue of there being no perceiver, there is no reality, more specifically no sound.

Not exactly. It depends on how thick the woods is. If there are other trees beside it, those might support it, so that it won't fall down.

If it is in a clearing, it would have made a sound though.

Yes, 'cause it produces sound waves. Even though the sound waves are not picked up by an ear or other device, the waves are still there.

no, sound waves are just waves floating in the air. It doesn't become sound until it reaches an eardrum or a microphone that can translate it into sound.
