If a meter is 40 inches apx. So then would 6 meters would be about 20ft.

I am horrible at math and conversions. I am trying to help my daughter with homework and need to make sure I have the right answer.

to be exact, a meter is 36.39 inches. a yard is 36". In answer to your question, 6 x 36.39 =218.34 inches or 18.20 feet, not 20 ft

approximately yes, but really 6 meter = 19.685 039 37 feet.

and all i did to find that was look up "distance conversion" on google you can put in any unit of measure and convert it to another

1 meter = 3.2808399 feet

20 / 3.2808399 feet

20 feet is 6.097 meters

That is correct. Multiply 40ft by 6m and you get 240ft. 240ft divided by 12in is 20ft.
