Im 38 weeks pregnant and been having sharp pains in my vaginal area, there also is some soreness maybe due to pressure? It feels almost like its stretching so its sore...could this be a sign of labor? Or has anyone experienced this?

It sounds like baby is settling deep in your pelvis. This discomfort is to be expected, and usually does not indicate the start of labor. Enjoy your last few days with baby inside. It is strange, but afterwards, you will miss it! Congratulations, and the best of luck to you! It won't be long!

It's hard to say. I've been having pain/pressure like that for the past 2 weeks and nothing yet (I will be 39 weeks tomorrow). My guess is that it's just stretching & preparing for the big day! I definitely feel for you! It's really hard getting through these last couple of weeks! Today I got excited though, because when someone asked me how much longer I had to go - my answer was "8 days" and that really isn't that far! Good luck!

I have had the same feelings for the past week or so. The doc said it was just from the baby dropping and putting pressure in that area, especially when hes moving.

I had that a lot at the end of my pregnancy, it could just be the baby dropping.. I had to be induced at 40wks 1 day though... Hopefully you won't have to be induced, just walk a lot and get as much sleep as possible (seems hard to do I know) but you'll feel better.. Congrats and good luck!!

I delivered at 38 weeks. Sounds like your body is getting ready. Is your mucus plug starting to come out?

Congratulations!!
