Twenty's nuthin! You don't say what you do - your qualifications and experience? Maybe your CV ain't up to scratch (your school/college/job centre can help). Maybe you're applying for the wrong jobs? Under or over qualified? Plus, don't just apply for jobs advertised - look for places you think you might want to work for and send them your CV with a letter introducing yourself and what you think you could do for them. Lastly, don't sit on your *** waiting - go get some temp work! It's easier to get a job when you're in one!

Twenty places isn't a lot - jobs are hard to find.

Are you being realistic, and applying for jobs where you have the education and experience the employer is looking for? Even if you do, twenty applications still isn't many.

Are you getting interviews? If not, have someone look at your resume if you are sending one out, and see if they have any suggestions for improvement.

Good luck, and keep looking - you'll find a job.

It doesn't take luck to find a job... it takes determination. There is a job out there for you. You have to apply, interview and ask for the job. If you have an unemployment office near you, see if they have a job board. Ask to speak with a counselor who can review your resume, suggest places to apply to and also ask for them to do a mock interview with you to see how you conduct yourself. Don't give up on yourself. If you believe in yourself, others will believe in you.
