I was involved in an auto accident and received medical attention. The insurance company will not pay the medical bills to the doctor as they say it has been turned over to a third party administrator. I had been contacted by the insurance company a few months go to settle for a few hundred dollars above the medical bills and I refused. I have contacted a couple of attorneys and they do not want to take the case because of the age of it and no doctor has wanted to see me as I do not have insurance of my own. I am still having back problems and headaches and my car was totalled in the accident. I was rear ended by a drunk driver and from the beginning the insurance company said they would pay for what ever I needed. Any ideas of what I should do?

The TPA is acting for the insurance company. Many carriers do not use employed adjusters. You are probably near the statue of limitations. So you are so of at their mercy. Many states have fair claims handling act. If so a complaint to the department of insurance may help. The TPA is a licensed professional that could lose their license for acting unfairly.
