Some of us are told at R&S we need to be here, now you say we need to go there. Which is it?
Most Religions are based on Myth and folklore. I will visit both and I guess you can just report me.

First: The proper spelling for religess is "Religious" and mytholagy is spelled "Mythology. Had to correct, not sorry.

Second: When it comes to most questions on religion, it is based part most on mythology and/ or folklore, it is a form of history no matter what faith you have~it will always have: Truth, Myth, Stories and Belief. Which follows in the category of MYTHOLOGY AND FOLKLORE.

You may like my answer or not. You are the one who asked and should have an open mind on any answer or answers you have or will receive.

Mythology is the study of stories about religion. It is about the deities and all the other characters that make up a religious pantheon.

Stories about Christianity, Judaism, Budism or whatever do fall into this category. It's not saying anything about the religion to use the word mythology.

The common usage of the word myth suggests fiction, it's true, but in this case and for most people who say it, this is not what they mean. They are not 'down grading' Christianity.

That being said, examining the type of question being asked would be the best way to decide if it belongs in the Mythology section or the Religion section.

If you really want anyone to answer your question, try spelling it this way:

If you're religious, read this.
There's a whole section for religious questions, so why do you ask them in mythology and folklore?

Too bad you don't have a spell checker.....

First off (and I'm usually not a jerk about this) but clean up your damn spelling.

Second: Most people do post religous questions in the proper section, but some people who have... low opinions of one religion or another may post their question regarding it in the M/F section to indicate that they think this particular faith should be "demoted"

because many religions are now considered Myth, or folklore.

all of the beliefs of the greek and roman people are considered myth now,

most of the celtic beliefs are folklore.

so a person that is not ectually religious but interrested in the tales of differant cultures may ask about their mythology and folklore here..

also most mythology and folklore is based in religion at some point....

oh and i am LYSDEXIC i cannot make fun of your spelling, because mine sucks too.....

Mythology and folklore is soties about gods and spirits etc..

Religion is about how to live you life in the correct way.

You have a line "why do you ask them in?" I want to know "Why don't you believe in using spell check?"

I found out that when you ask the question, spell check isn't provided, but if you are answering it, it is. Go to Micro soft Word and write your question and do the spell check and proof read for sentence structure and then print off your question before posting it so you can type in your hopefully correct question.

I DON"T ask them in mythology and folklore. Those who do probably don't have two brain cells to rub together to create a spark of intelligence.

There are people that believe most religion is only mythology and folklore as most of it is. Religion is not fact as it is not proven. It is faith that leads us to believe religion and therefore we cannot make the statement that it is fact. The Bible is proof of nothing. Yes, I believe in God ,but don't be suckered by the uneducated super Xtians that decide to explain everything with the Bible.

You spelled it wrong in your correction :P It's religious. Anyway, to answer your question- Maybe those askers want a religious answer mixed in with mythology and folklore. Sometimes they are all connected in a way.
