Nope. They don't have to pay you, because it's rare that you can get out of it, and they can't make you try. It depends on the employer. Some will pay the wage, and ask for the money you get from jury duty back, and some will not, and you just get paid the pennies on the dollar for the jury duty. Either way, beats work...lol.

They don't have to pay you by law. Most employers, however, will allow you paid time for jury duty, as long as they get the money that the government gives to you. They also require a slip confirming that you were present and available for jury duty. The court co-ordinator will be able to supply you with this every day.

Employers have no obligation to pay you while you are on jury duty. Mine only pays for the first two weeks after that you are unpaid.

No. It depends on company policy or a contract agreement. I get one week ,but after that I'm using vacation or going with jury pay

Your employer have to páy you the whole eight hours!! He cannot deduct anything!! But what is PTO???
If you do not show at court, ready to serve, he doesn't have to pay you!!

I know where i work what i get paid from jury duty (say it's 100.00). my company will make up the rest of my salary. all company are different. check with your employer and see what they do.

They must pay you outside of your PTO, it is the law. Don't let them tell you any different.

they don't have to, some still pay full-time, but a lot pay half or something liks that. and some of them will take the stipend you get in return for paying your salary

They do not have to pay you, they only have to let you do your civic duty. It sucks I know.
