The Others. I don't know why but that movie scared the CRAP outta me! I think it's because it's all based on using your imagination. The lack of special effects and the simplicity of the movie made it 10 times more scary to me because my imagination is far worse than anything they can show with special effects. I LOVE scary movies! (The Grudge was high on the list too by the way)

The Grudge is the only movie that's scared me as an adult. It was a combination of the weird noises and movements the dead girl made, as well as having to watch Sarah Michelle Gellar act...

well i love scary films but the problem with them these days is they are simalar to something already done, someone needs to come along and find a new fear in people. someone told me to watch "it" but i was dissapointed, especially when the kids go to kill pennywise with a slingshot and an inhaler. dont get me wrong it was probably scary to kids but not for me. i think that movies that are based on aliens or ghosts etc are good for scary genres because it releases that internal fear of something that cannot be proved real or phycological. worst scary film has got to be jeepers creepers or dead end, 3 words WHAT THE HELL

The scariest movie I ever saw was Pet Sematary. This movie gave me nightmares for a long time after seeing it.
