Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/... that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I am surprised that the Accutane didn't work. There are laser treatments that are supposed to get rid of cystic acne. For a temporary fix, you could try taking echinacea. Try 2 capsules twice a day (2 in the morning and 2 at night). You can't stay on it indefinately, but try 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off, and see how your skin reacts. I discovered this years ago, pre-Accutane, when my skin kept clearing up whenever I took echinacea for a cold.

Try changing your diet. Partially Hydrogenated Oil is a huge contributor to the cystic type acne. I've stopped eating it - and I dont get those really deep "owie" pimples anymore.
Also - Tea Tree Oil is a natural antibiotic. Its an "oil" which will seem wierd at first, but when you smell it - you know it means business, and two days from now when your skin is clearing you'll thank me for mentioning it. You can find it on the vitamin aisle of Target - or at a health food store.
And finally, I really like the B-Mix from dhccare dot com.
Its expensive, but far and away the best "zit-creme" I have ever found.
Good Luck.
Seriously - try the tea tree oil!!!!!

You may have rosacea. You may want to see your doctor and get checked for it. In the meantime, you can wash with antibacterial soap, use an astringent (like Seabreeze) for normal skin and use a light moisturizing lotion afterwards. The soap and the astringent can overdry your skin and then your skin can react by creating more oil than usual. Also, you'll want to do this 2 to 3 times a day. Do not go to bed with makeup on. Only use hypoallergenic makeup as well. Also, take acidophilus which can be purchased over the counter with the herbal remedies. If you can't get acidophilus then eat lots of yogurt. Once a week, you may want to use a store bought mud mask or make one with oatmeal and water. If you get blemishes and choose to get rid of them the 'old fashioned way', make sure you wash your hands and clean under your fingernails real well first, wash the area with antibacterial soap and hot water, and use astringent on the blemish afterwards. Also, you can put an ice cube on a blemish after you take care of it to bring any swelling down. Additionally, cut back on junk food, fried food and soda pop.
Also, cleansing diets such as the Lemonade Diet (find it online) can be a big help to rid your body of toxins. Drink lots of water, get plenty of rest, get rid of stressors in your life and get lots of exercise.

Before you do anything. Check with your doctor. I just went through a similar experience and spent alot of money going to dermatologist for skincare products that did not work!!!!!! It may just be your hormones!!!! This was the case with mine. After my obgyn put me on birth control pill, my acne all cleared up the same day. Some acne is caused due to elevated hormonal levels in women. Check this out before spending another dime.
