Metal baseball bats are formed that way,not made fron metal tubes. They have molds that are made to form the bat as it is poured.

I'm not sure about buying tons of them for mass-production purposes, but if you're just looking for a few, I'd go to the steel scrapyard and see if they had any. My metals class teacher always had tons, but I honestly don't know where he got it all.
