Ask your mother to speak to the ex-friend’s mother, to say that unless the rumours that her daughter is spreading about you ‘cease’ you will have no option other than to take legal action against her.
Perhaps talking to a school counsellor or teacher could be an alternative to talking to your mum.

Just make it perfectly clear to anyone who asks you about it that it isn't true. Defend yourself. Silence breeds consent, or something like that.
Also you may want to go to an adult that you trust that is close to the situation, like a teacher, and talk it over. Teachers are people too, you know, and sometimes they have good advice. They've also probably seen the same things happen before and have plenty of tips for resolution that we haven't even thought of.
Another idea would be to go to your ex friend and tell her that you really didn't know that she liked him and you never intended to hurt her. Even if you are angry, her anger stems from miscommunication. Perhaps the two of you cannot be friends, but you don't have to be bitter enemies. Best of luck. :)

No offense to you in any way but girls at that age do get a little annoying and pissy. No one should have any reason to believe that you slept with 14 boys already nor should they really care. Just show that you have class, unlike her, and don't spread any back. People forget about rumours but they don't forget how people can control themselves. Just stay chill and don't get too worked up about it. Don't provoke her back and it'll go away.

She remains a pal yet no longer a "authentic pal"because authentic friends are unlike that..authentic friends or actual friends are those whom you may lean on, who in no way tell your secrets and techniques or spread undesirable rumors and make up undesirable issues bout you or a backbitter...possibly she has this jealous or an envy ideas-set that she keeps on hiding once you're at the same time and exhibit it out once you're not from now on round...the surely way you may cease it is to confront her and ask her why did she do such ingredient?I propose making up issues and spreading it out, it may harm her own reputations and loosing a number of her friends even as she keeps on doing that contained in the close to destiny..and bout your ex boyfriend i imagine he can't settle for the very undeniable reality that you already chop up up at the same time..basically ignore about him in case you may and in case you may conceal your thoughts for him and basically bypass on with your existence..in case you 2 receives back at the same time will you may truly be destined for eachother..

wow....if ppl r ur true friends then they won't spread rumors about u & the other ppl who r hearing the rumors should know that it isn't true,but i think ur ex friend is jealous 7 u need 2 confront her about that & tell her that u don't appreciate it & how would she like ppl spreading rumors aobut her & then if she doesn't stop i would tell a teacher or someone who can stop it

that happened to me too cause her boyfriend liked me and she just started spreading rumors about me but no one believed her anyways cause she a dirty hoe and me and my friends just followed her home one day and beat the **** out of her...im pretty sure she learned her lesson

Tell your mom, and have your mom talk to her mom. Moms don't put up with their children acting so terribly. If her mom doesn't do anything, then start saying yo moma jokes to this girl...
