When Sony came out with the ps1, it put Nintendo in the back-seat, and when they came out with the ps2 people went out to the store to grab them up, and now with the ps3 coming out in november it will be the same. People complain about the price of the ps3, but i know that when it comes out you won't be able to find one on the shelfs, because they will be bought out very quickly. The ps3 has two cell processours and the 360 runs a pentium 4 so it isen't even close when you gage the raw power of the two machines. The cell processours that are used in the ps3 are state of the art, for every 100 chips that are made only 10-15 are graded good enough to use in the ps3. And you get the blue-ray disk drive that cost 1000.00 bucks by itself, and an internal wireless network addapter and hard-drive. On the 360 you have to buy a wireless network card for it, Microsoft is even talking about adding a blue-ray player as an add on to the system. The 360 is o.k but the ps3 does more then the 360, the 360 only supports hdtv up to 760, but the ps3 suppots 1080 and it has blue-tooth technollogy that intergrates with all your other sony products, plus it is backwards compatable with all old games. Plus the game-line up for the ps3 is a lot deeper then the 360 as well, by the time you get done buying all the extra crap you need for the 360 you will have spent just as much as you would on a ps3. The on-line game-play for the ps3 is also free for all, with the 360 you have to pay 49.99 a year.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/617/617951p1.html here is a website comparison of both consoles and it states that the 360 is better in some points but in the end even with life like graphics the console with the best games and playability will always win no matter of what happens to the graphics. If you're looking for the best console to go live then xbox live is much better than the ps online service plus you can download your favorite arcade games in the xbox live. PS3 500$ basic version without full upgreadability 600$ fully upgrded version xbox 360 300$ basic 400$ upgraded Wii 250$ and it also has a regular controller for those who don't like the motion sensing thing

Here is a comparisson of the official spec sheets released by both Microsoft and Sony. You will clearly see that the XBOX 360 CAN OUT PERFORM THE PS3 UP TO 10 times in certain categories. This is a fair and unbiased comparison, Also if you check out the behind the scenes of halo3 on IGN.com you will see the full power of the XBOX 360 and why it will live up to the hype.

In my opinion I think they'll be very similar. I own a 360, and love it, always hated playstation brand. The one thing you might want to be a little concerned with if you're thinking of buying a PS3 is the whole blu-ray vs hddvd. Sony has thrown everything into the blu-ray concept, including putting the games on blu-ray discs. If hddvd comes out on top over blu-ray that might be the beginning of the end for the playstation brand as we know it.

I'm not sure which is better but I intend to get both & try them out. I still use both X-box & PS2 & both seem to target different markets as far as games are concerned. I like the PS for RPGs & the Xbox for more 1st/3rd person shooters & arcade style games. They'll probably continue this trend, so both is better, imho.

I think it's going to depend on production and games. The specs for PS3 appear better (however, Sony has made multiple bravado claims, then backed down).

Games for the PS3 line up, as far as sequels go, seem better. However, we know that sequels get stale. I think it might come down to blu-ray vs hddvd.

Peace. The Wii might kill all, due to price.

depends on what u think is better, if u like PS3 games better than yes it will be better but if u like the 360 games better than the 360 will be better, it's all an opinion.

Hell yeah! But I'm a Sony fangirl so you can't listen to anything I say. :P I've actually gotten very good at turning a blind eye & a deaf ear to those ridiculously stupid things that Sony keeps spewing out...like $600....and $59-$99....& all that other nonsense...Sony's Grrreat! XD Seriously, I'm getting one...& it's gonna kick your 360's a$$!!!
