there was a reason they picked 9/11 but i know it wasnt because of 911 being the emergency line. some big event happened that day and i cant remember exactly what. i am guessing it was the 1978 camp david meeting between jimmy carter, the leader of egypt and the leader of israel to try to map out peace in the middle east, but im not sure exactly

There is a connection. The terrorists had been planning for YEARS, everything was perfect, 911 (emergency number), date 9/11, flight 911. Everything had a meaning so Americans would remember that horrible day. The terrorists were all set, and the succeded in killing many. What is so horrible is that after the first plane his the WTC over 200 firemen rushed in to help and the building collapsed on top of them, resulting in firemen from around the country flying in because NYC's firemen were all killed... This dreadful day will always be remembered.

I've always thought it was planned for that date on purpose to mean "emergency!" This has been bugging me ever since then because it really wasn't dwelled on and it probably is good that is wasn't. It is better for it to be referred to as 9 / 11. I have even thought about what other numbers could be used as a target date but unable to figure out any (guess my brain is not twisted like those people's brains are).

It is a fact that 9/11 is the telephone number for police in the United States.
It is a fact that the President's surname, Obama, jibes with the first name Osama.
It is my opinion that the police should be powerless to make an arrest unless a civilian dials 9/11 on a telephone first.
Maybe I should run for President.

Well I do think it has a connection. 911 is called for desperate times and I think they wanted the people to know they ment buisness and weren't going to settle for anything but everything they wanted.

I wonder if they picked that date because they knew our fighter jets that would have intercepted them would be up in Alaska doing wargames with Cheney that day?
