I was in a training class for my job (NYS Health Dept) and we took a break. We turned on the radio and it came across in a breaking news story. We ran down to the common room on the floor below us and were glued to a TV.

One of the ladies in my class had a son in the towers and one of the gentlemen was a manager of the 42 NYS Taxation & Finance Employees who lost their lives in the towers. We sat together crying, trying desperately to reach friends and family. My cell had been cut as had thousands of others due to potential threats - I was in Albany, NY.

My Mother-in-law called me. Told me to turn on the news, "they just bombed the World Trade Center". I turned on the news just in time to see the second plane hit. I thought, "what an idiot! Did he get distracted from the smoke?" As time went by and we all realized what had happened, I cried. All those people. The pictures of people jumping to their deaths. Then the buildings collapsing, knowing there were still people alive as they came roaring down. When we got news of the Pentagon and Flight 93, we knew we had been attacked. I will never forget, I will never forgive.

I live in Cleveland and our building was being evacuated. As the manager, I stayed there to make sure everyone got out okay. We saw the plane that eventually crashed in PA, it had two military jets behind it. My reaction? Shock, anger, grief.... I did what I had to do to take care of people I'm responsible for, called my family and spent the rest of the day and night in front of the tv watching the events over and over again.

I actually watched the events on TV as they happened. The first plane of course, was a replay. The other events occurred as I watched. Flight 93 actually crashed near where I live, so I heard that on the news too.

I never knew until about 3:00 PM. I had been asleep and had my cell phone off. I woke up to call a friend to see about going out that night and she was like "Have you NOT watched tv today" I'm like "No why". That is when I found out.
I tried to call my dad for a while because he lived in NY and finally got a hold of him. I just sat there in shock and disbelief.

I was at work and i heard it on my radio, i figures a plane made a mistake and hit the building, I drove to my next stop and saw on t.v the other plane and thought to myself "Holy Crap we are getting attacked" After that everything was sad and devestating. Seeing those poor people jumping out of the buildings so they would'nt get burned, then the buildings collapsed WOW! How quickly America forgets why we are defending our country no matter what! It's either us or them!!

I was in bed and my mom called telling me to turn on the TV. I sat in bed and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I don't even think it hit me fully for quite a while.

My dad woke me up and told me to come into the living room so that I could see the history of my time as it happened.

I felt sick, scared, and upset. I cried.
