To all those who lash out at this question! Think about this! I live in a country where you can see only about 10 blacks and 30 asian in your entire life. I saw only 3 blacks in 3 different towns. One of them felt a bit offended because i asked him if he was american (he was from africa). How can i tell the difference if i don't have an eye for it or if i ask about it? Think about it... there is virtualy no way of telling them apart, can't compare.... and i probably couldn't if i saw 30. Maybe 40.
So try not to be so puny minded people, nobody is being racist about it, maybe he doesn't want to insult them? Have you ever thought about that? It happend to me and i didn't like makeing that man feel poorley. I already feel insulted when the french mistake my people for romanian gypsies and deny us passing trough their country.

Hell if I know,ask them I guess.Most filipinos I've ever seen almost look hispanic. I couldn't tell the rest on a bet except maybe by attitude,japanese even men that I've met seem more reserved,while the only Korean I've ever met,my sons karate teacher, was very direct and stood out from a crowd.And Chinese always seemed very animated,and direct and uncomprimising to a fault,a trait which sometimes comes off as rudeness.

Just as you can differntiate other ethnicities of the world...I dont know how to describe the Chinise and Japanese, but the Filipinos are darker, and at least in my experience, have seemed shorter. Vietnamese are darker than Chinese and Japanese however they arent as dark as Filipinos...

You can most of the time but it's hard to explain.All I can say is that Japanese are the better looking (Girls i.e.) Koreans next,but they are so uptight about everything.The rest are up for grabs.I did write more but erased it.It didn't feel Kosher.

chinese and japanese is a lil difficult for me.. but filipinos and veit look nuthin a like.
but i also like to study and read about other cultures and anthropolgy.. heh

Most of these cultures are mixed. Its better if you just ask them nicely.
Really, they're very different from each other. Mannerisms, characteristics, and tradiitons.

chinese= looks like charlie brown. big round head and puffy cheeks.
Japs= small slit eyes,normally short in height
Fillipinos= cross breed between chinese and spanish look.
vietnamese= short. medium sized eyes. hairy eye brows.
