about eight weeks ago, it was all fine until i began feeling really tired and then i had really heavy bleeding, and i mean really heavy, im used to having heavy periods but i have never experienced this, it was what looked like clots and tissue and stuff id never had before, and my back ached and i had tummy cramps, this went on for 15 days... i am just a bit concerned - could this have been a miscarriage? i did not know i was pregnant, although it is unlikely as i am on the Pill, but like they say, nothing is 100% reliable! it may also be notable to mention that this bleeding was in the middle of the pill taking weeks, so not to be confused with a regular period? i am going to the doctors on thursday for another reason, i will bring this up of course, i just hope someone has some advice before i see her! thank you in advance to anyone who can tell me anything! x

I can't believe you haven't gone to the Doctor or the Emergency room....you sound very casual about it. aren"t you at all worried
about your body ? Isn't it wonderful that you can just take a pill
and not have to worry anymore, about being pregnant!!!

Please contact you GP or your A&E as soon as possible. Its very likey that you have had a miscarriage. If you are sexual active you can get pregnant regardless of what your are using for contraception. Very heavy bleeding is not a usuall thing especially with tissue coming out as well. Get a pregnacy test from the pharmacy and check your urine. I am not sure how long the urine stays positive after amiscarriage. Personaly I would say in a situation like this you should have contacted your GP instead of waiting for an appointment. If you go to your Dr he / she will examine you to see wheter it was a miscariage Ultrasound may also be done to exclude anything that could have remained in your uterus if indeed you had miscarriage. Do not panic you will get help from your Dr. If you have been pregnant once you will get pregnant again so do not stress yourself thinking about wether you will have children or not everything should go well.

Oh sweetie I actually had that happen yes it is probabley a miss carriage and if not something is wrong. Your body is capable of completelly cleaning itself out but most the time it needs help. You need to go to an ER having a miscarriage due to being on the pill is not all that uncommon. Make sure and tell the doctor every detail including if you can the days you had sex.

your doctor will knoe for sure, but you might have endromtious, some times the pill causes it, you may also have fibroids and not know they also cause heavy bleeding, hormonal imbalances do that too. as well as a possible miscarriage if you have not taken the pills right you can still get pregnant or even if you got the wrong dose you can side effects from the pill also. please tell your doctor when you go she can check things out fully.

WOW! You poor thing. I would definitely bring it up to your doctor, but it doesn't sound like a miscarriage but I suppose it could've been. Did you miss a pill or two? That would be my guess but I would only expect spotting from that.

it sounds like you could have had a miscarriage. especially if what you were passing looked totally different from blood clots(there is a distinct difference). if you get weak between now and thursday, you should go to the er and be checked out.

How long have you been on the pill? At first, it makes your periods go wack! But do go to the DR.
