I wont' answer the who would win in the brawl questions, but as for which show is better, it is by far the simpsons. The Simpsons is like well aged wine while Family Guy is like beer. They both get a laugh out of you (or in this metaphor, get you drunk) but The Simpsons has a lot more jokes that arent' just crude, tasteless and irrelevant to the plot, however, Family Guy takes the majority of it's jokes just ofr the shock vlaue, and not for any actual funny purpose besides "Oh my god! How did thye let them do that!"

I like The Simpsons better because they have been around longer and have more merchandise I can buy and there is a Simpsons comic book series. Family Guy doesn't have one. Homer would beat Peter
Marge would beat Lois
Stewie would beat Maggie
Meg would beat Lisa
Bart would beat Chris
(Never saw Peter's Dad)
Santa's Little Helper and Snowball would beat the monkey

Homer has a heart, Peter doesn't. Peter would win.
Lois is stupid and Marge is smart. Marge wins.
Lisa and Meg would call it a draw and go play chess somewhere.
Bart would have Chris in a headlock in two seconds.
Peter's dad would win over Grampa Abe because well, he's peter's dad and Abe is Homer's dad and that's reason enough.
The evil monkey would win just because I think my evil monkey beats eveyone up and he doesn't like anyone either.
Maggie would beat Stewie because he likes little girls and she'd charm him before beating him to a pulp.
I like both families. The Simpsons are just more people friendly.

Marge vs Lois --- Lois "Tell me that you love red carpet!!"
Maggie vs Stewie --- Both would max each other out me thinks
Lisa vs Meg --- Meg of course (better voice actress `.`'..stupid answer I know)

I like the Simpsons more than Family Guy. Why? Because it's the of the most original and intelligent cartoons. Family Guy can be funny at times but many times it takes from something else. And the writing for Family Guy just is horrible. And what's with all of the flashbacks? They get annoying after a while...anyway i'm done ranting.

The Simpsons except for the evil monkey and Homer vs Peter would be a tie. Peter could be training for his next fight with the chicken over that bad coupon. You never know.

homer - haven't you seen the episode where he won arm wrestling champion?
lois - she really packs a punch, plus, i can't imagine marge punching someone
stewie - he'd conjure up some maniacal plot to kill maggie and sell her meat to taco bell
lisa - because meg would just cry all the time
bart - because chris is a wuss
grandpa abe - doesn't he always talk about the war and stuff?
the evil monkey - just because i like monkeys
but overall, my favorite show is family guy, although they both are pretty entertaining on a sunday night.
