He was a trained professional herpetologist and was the ideal one to do them. Trained pros do what they do best and would not trust their lives with a beginner. That was what he did and he did it better than everyone else. Gotta give Jeff Corwin and Jack Hannah their dues also since they do the same thing.

They weren't 'stunts'. He was doing what he did for animal conservation and education. There is a whole new generation of animals lovers out there because of Steve and his 'stunts'.
The animal world has lost a true friend.

What "stunts"? I never saw a net there to catch Steve, I never saw him practising wrestling crocodiles, poisonous snakes. He was there doing it. Saving the lives of humans and the lives of the creatures he loved so dearly. There at no time to practice wrestling a 300kg croc. He was shooting a documentary to teach uneducated humans about the many wonderful creatures of the world, when he saw a group of stingray and thought it would be nice to have a closer look. Unfortunately one stingray was in a very bad mood. It was just an very unfortunate accident to happen to one very loved man.

He did stunts because he loved it and it was a wonderful job for him. He died doing what he loved, so he was very happy. And his job was great, even if it was dangerous, it was his hobby!
And they weren't really stunts, some where experiments and also saving animals!

He was a psychopath who enjoyed tormenting animals to make a quick buck. He only got away with it because he tormented "ugly" animals. If he had been tormenting kittens or puppies instead, there would have been a huge outcry about him. But because he stuck to things like crocodiles and snakes, nobody seemed to care.

He was the kind of person that wanted to teach us about animals and how we can help out instead of killing everything we saw. And the way he was raised

To let people see animals in a way they might never be able to experience. Also to show how wild animals interact with humans.
