These numbers are increasing by 2^n.

The differences are:

2, 4, 8, 16...

The next differences would be 32, 64 and 128

So the next numbers would be:

63, 127, 255.

If you take the difference between each of the numbers in sequence, you see:

3-1=2; 7-3=4; 15-7=8; 31-15=16;...

so the sequence is:

2^0; 2^0+2^1; 2^0+2^1+2^2; ....
