the square root of 16 is 4

Method 1
=======
let's assume that the answer is X
X=square root(a^16)

a^16=a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a

This means X*X=a^16

Then X=a*a*a*a*a*a*a*a=a^8

Method 2:
=======
Square root means raise to power 1/2

and we know that (x^a)^b= x^(a*b)

We conclude:
Square root(x ^ 16 )
= (x ^ 16) ^ ( 1/2 )
= x ^ ( 16 * 1/2 )
= x ^ 8
