I know it can be an annoyance to be reading subtitles when we'd rather be watching the actors' faces and action on-screen but then there's the difficult-to-decipher English accents and slang to consider.

Sometimes it would be nice to have subtitles (and translations) on those English or Australian films! For that matter, it is sometimes useful to have subtitles on American films. I have seen that used in some documentaries where the sound pickup is not too good.

That is not how I decide what film to watch. If it looks interesting then I'll watch it.
You get used to the accents, and I personally wish there were more regional UK films, the main sucessful films based there are things like Notting Hill and Bridget Jones.... hardly anyone speaks like that in UK and its a bizarres false representation of the place.

personally english indie, but then being english i guess i dont have an issue with the accents lol. but i just wish we got subs on hollywood films here cos im mostly lost with them lol
