Following are the figures of maximum-minimum temperatures in September in UK since 1998

Year Maximum Minimum
1998 18.70 11.57
1999 20.57 11.4
2000 18.70 11.73
2001 15.97 10.73
2002 18.17 10.90
2003 20.40 8.97
2004 18,70 11.00
2005 21.07 10.07

It will be seen that right from 2001 the Come Septembers have been almost consistently more warn(with a slight fallbck in 2004).The statitics available upto last month for 2006 also show a similar trend. The precise temperature for Sept.2006 are not available but as one of the answer says it is warmer and he does not care whether it is due ti global warming

No, just for about 60 years. I do not believe it is really another global warming come to harm us. What everyone has forgotten is that we have had 3 ice ages, without any human causing it. I believe that the earth is just going back to what it was like before the ice ages.

we are only 11 days into it, and at the moment no, it's miles off. How come no one has mentioned that August was one of the coolest and wettest in the last 20 years. I suppose that doesn't back global warming up does it

We quite often have nice Septembers and I can remember quite a few so no I wouldn't say it's the hottest ever.

We had a horrid August so I was hoping for a nice September :o)

Not at all in the past the temperatures were higher. Thank goodness we are climbing out of a mini ice-age, that has lasted too many centuries.
