It is in the router or access point configuration

It's going to be stored on the router. You'll have to access the router's configuration page (either through a web browser or telnet, depending on your router). You'll have to have the username and password for the router, of course. Since you don't have the WEP key, you can't access the router by wireless. You'll have to hardwire in.

i assume it is the deal with of your router. seem for the area that announces safe practices. you'll see an area the position you position your safe practices password and the router created countless Keys. you're probably utilising the first one. Write down those letters and determination. it is your WEP key.

open your browser
if you have a linksys type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar
if you have a netgear type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar
that will get you to the router properties
they come set with a standard user name and password it should be with your directions if you dont have it
they are as follows
user name-admin
password-admin

user name-admin
password-password

if its none of those do the same combination but type administrator instead of admin
sorry i cant remember the exact combo but one of those will definately work
anyway once you get in look for a security tab, advanced tab or password tab if you just click around youll find the WEP settings
good luck
